Every Day Counts in the life of Captain America too.

Yesterday's post on EDC was a winner. The readership stats went through the roof. Hence, I have listened to my modest, but thoughtful, intelligent and passionate audience and changed the title to Every Day Counts. And that is not to mean that the nights do not count either. They do.

While our families were together for the recent graduation parties, we all went to see the Captain America movie. I left the movie after about 30 minutes. Everyone liked it, but I can not get inspired by these super hero movies, but then I slept through several episodes of Star Wars too. Admittedly, there was a time when I was a fan of superman and mighty mouse cartoons, but that was decades ago.

Later, my son asked me if as you get older, does a person's taste in movies change? Apparently so. At one time, I loved all the Abbott  and Costello movies, google this comedy team, circa 1950. I doubt if I could sit through 15 minutes of their silly antics today and I am positive that the younger generation would be suitably bored  at the lack of non-stop action that characterizes the current super hero films.

On the other hand, films have not changed much. Handsome men and beautiful women permeate good and beasts characterize evil. I left the Captain America movie because I knew the ending.  Good conquers evil.

I just could not waste part of my EDC in absolute fantasy land.
