Trump, you are a liar and a con-man but I will support you if you are nominated.

The debate last night was a magnificent example of the problem with politicians.

The hypocrisy flooded the stage at the end of the debate and drowned what ever credibility remained with all the nominees. Rubio and Cruz spent the better part of two hours calling Trump a con-man, a liar, a cheater, law violator, sexist, untrustworthy, violent, a bully and the list goes on and on.

Yet, they said they would support him if he were nominated.

The inference was that the candidate's blind allegiance to the "Republican party" was greater than their negative opinion of each other. Yes, Trump was no better in agreeing to support them after he castigated them too.

And after the nomination Rubio was heard to say, " Yes, I know I called him a con-man, but I am now supporting him for president. He really is such a nice fellow."

And politicians wonder why Americans are so disappointed in all of them.
