The GOP conundrum explained. The American people are sick and tired of politicians.

Every day, the experts struggle to understand Trump's success. The political experts all claim to speak for the American people and explain the Trump phenomenon with behavioral attributes that would make professional psychologists cringe. The political experts slice and dice the polls to retroactively identify the base of the Trump voters and then attempt to decipher why the broad base of several million voters vote contrary to the views of a  dozen GOP elitists.

I ain't no behavioral psychologist, but it ain't that complicated. The American people are sick and tired of Politicians. Despite the roar of the crowd and the smell of the painted signs, the GOP elitists have not heard the complaints and steadfastly refuse to acknowledge their existence. The result is the GOP conundrum.

The voters want disruptive change. Trump may not be able to make all his promises come true, and for that he may well be eventually branded a politician. However, he may be able to make some of them cone true and for that he will be branded as having the common sense his supporters give him credit for, like me.
