Sander's claimed, actually shouted during the democratic debate, that Hillary insults the intelligence of the American people when she claims the donations she has accepted from Wall Street firms come with no strings attached. I agree with Sanders.
Sander's points out that although the banks and Wall Street firms have been fined for their nefarious actions in the financial collapse, no Wall Street executive has ever been sent to jail. Hillary claims Obama, accepted wall street donations, and he has been tough on Wall Street and she will be too. Wait a minute did not Obama bail out the Wall Street firms with billions and billions of taxpayer dollars and in the process leave many families in the valley of death - owing more on their property than it was worth and also create a stock market that sent main stream American's 401k down 20%.
And by the way, fines are after the fact, or after Wall Street firms already made billions more than the fines. In the same debate, Hillary claimed that Obama fought for the Dodd-Frank legislation, pseudo punishment for the 2008 financial collapse, which Hillary asserted was evidence for Obama's and her objectivity in the face of her donors. Dodd-Frank makes no sense because it requires us to have faith in the same legislators that caused the collapse in the first place. It's a slap on the hand. The genuine insult is claiming that Dodd-Frank is punishment. People go to Jail for less.
Sander's arguments turn democrats away from Clinton and where can they go.They can go to Sanders for awhile until they understand that Sander wishes to redistribute every one's money and like it or not under Sanders taxes will go up because Sanders intends to increase the government's role in re-distributing money. Where has that worked? No where. Accounting and law firms charge gigantic fees for wealth management, which is code for, among other things, discovering legal ways to decrease personal and corporate taxes. A service that is not available to the middle class. We can not afford it.
And so democrats, who are moving away from Hillary with no place to go except to Sanders, are turning to Trump. I hope Sanders keeps his narrative going. He can only help Trump.
Keep it up Bernie.
