Applevote will be bigger than Applepay.

You may have read that Facebook is tracking users, who say they voted. Of course, the obvious question is how long will it be before you vote on Facebook?  It is so obvious that it is certainly being discussed at all levels. The implication of profiling and capturing the young voter is compelling. It also would be a lot faster and more efficient than watching CNN et al track voting math so they can make an early prediction.

Lest you forget, the TV predictions are meaningless. The final vote count is what matters.

You can only imagine the egg on Wolf Blitzer’s or other commentators' faces, had TV been popular, when Truman beat Dewey, absolutely contrary to early newspaper predictors. Why watch the TV predictors at all? It is like knowing who won at 10:00 PM on election night is somehow better than knowing at 8:00 AM the next morning. I suspect that TV predictor viewing is akin to entertainment, but it is much ado about nothing.

The TV channels compete for who can make the earliest call, as if their call was relevant to the final victory. It is fun however to watch the new tech being used on the display screens. It is like a child with a new toy. Squeeze-in squeeze-out zoom-in zoom-out. But are you aware that computers are hooked into the various voting databases in "real time" to track the voter counts, county by county, state by state. Hope no one hacks those data bases and changes the count.

In 2016, Applevote will be bigger than Applepay as we buy our coffee at Panera and then vote for the president with an extra click.

Hard to believe?
