Trump distorts Clinton? The dirty dozen AP fact checkers are at it again.

The dirty dozen, there are 12 of them, AP fact checkers would not last 10 minutes under any type of professional scrutiny. On the contrary, I have spent more than 500 hours defending my facts and opinions under oath. I know the difference and could give some much-needed guidance to the AP.

Rather than invest unrecoverable time in a genuine fact checking exercise of the AP fact checker's comparison, let me simply use a single fact checking point from the AP article titled: AP Fact Check:Trump's Distortions on Clinton June 23, 2016. The headline itself is a mere opinion and is not factual, but I understand headlines sell newspapers.

The AP article read that Trump said, "Hillary Clinton accepted $58,000 in jewelry []"

Then, the fact checkers in the very first sentence of their rebuttal wrote,"In September 2012, she (Hillary)accepted a $58,000 jewelry set []."

The AP fact checkers confirmed exactly what Trump said, but did not acknowledge the fact, and then in the spirit of fact checking arrogance chose to rebut something that Trump did not even say.

For example, the AP "fact checkers" dismissed the identical  comparison between what they wrote and what Turmp said, but they continued to mention that Hillary was not wearing the jewelry, and that she had given the jewelry, as is custom, to the GSA. Trump never said she was wearing the jewelry, he never said she kept the jewelry, he said "she accepted the jewelry," which is exactly what the AP fact checkers confirmed, but chose to ignore in their rebuttal. The AP fact checkers did not rebut what Trump said, but chose to defend and explain why Hillary accepted the jewelry, an issue that Trump did not even address.

The AP fact checkers, having already conceded that what Trump said was correct, proceeded to rebut something Trump did not say, and then reach for the moon and accuse Trump of distortion. The AP fact checkers, rather than stick to the facts, defended Hillary's acceptance, on the basis that if she would have declined the gift, an Islamic nation that murders gays and lesbians would have been embarrassed.

I can hardly wait for the debates to begin. Every Day Counts.
