A diamond day.

I am heading off to a 5 day road trip with one of my sons, so this day does count. But I can not help wonder if all days count the same or did John Denver already address  this issue with "Some days are diamonds, some days are stone." I believe today is a diamond.

On another note, Trump's offer to debate Bernie Sanders is a stroke of genius. Although Hillary marginalizes the offer as a joke, I believe that Trump is serious and Sanders has nothing to lose and everything to gain. Meanwhile, Sanders is doing Trump's research on Hillary so all Trump must do is take good notes.

Trump suggested  that the networks donate  part of the debate advertising revenues to a women's charity. It is a simply marvelous notion. Voters often forget that the networks are substantial beneficiaries of ad revenues in an election year. The more fodder that is available to sow the more growth in ad revenues the networks reap.

Confrontation between candidates is a recipe for an increase in network viewers, which is the underlying reason for an increase in ad revenues. The network managers understand this relationship and have no reason to promote unity for either party at any level so they do not.
