I know its unforgivable but----You can all short sell Apple stock.
I bought 100 shares the day before Amazon announced its new
phone. When I purchases a stock, it is destined to drop in price. The phone is cool and the instant customer service is such a distinctive feature that it will no doubt give Apple some competition. Why? Because there are just some things that need assistance in using. The crowds at the Apple genius bar and help desk at the Apple stores fly in the face of an indisputable intuitive device, iconic as it might be.
Quick, convenient customer service may yet be the compelling feature for a cell phone purchase. The phone companies should react quickly or Amazon will show them what customer service can genuinely be in the electronic age. It is full cycle and it's about time.
In addition, I use the services of Createspace, a wholly owned Amazon subsidiary. This company is the future of great service. Createspace helps author/publishers like me create print-on-demand versions of our books. They have a comprehensive website, but I have had to contact them for help three times in the last two days. Once during the day, once at night and once early Saturday morning. Their "contact us" form had a few questions then a button to click if you wanted them to call you "now." Wow! I clicked it and received a call back in less than a minute. It happened three times and each time the people were efficient, courteous and absolutely helpful.
If you need to print some books, contact them and hope you have a problem so you can experience their customer service first hand. Who knows after believing the Internet could handle service, perhaps a few companies, such as Amazon are focused on live person customer service to provide product differentiation for standard products. Now if I can just get AT&T to adopt this new standard,
