The Syria Situation Simply Sucks.

The white house is said to be preparing to punish Syria for using chemical weapons in violation of an International Chemical Weapon Treaty. Cut off your enemy's head. Disintegrate their bodies with a bomb. Shoot them. But do not kill them with chemicals. That is a no no.

Aside from the stupidity of legislating the proper way to kill, you also have the white house justifying their punish Syria position with no proof of Syria's use of chemical weapons of mass destruction and that Syria's civil war is a threat to our nation's security. Syria is a major trading partner of Russia and Iran. Syria  has little trade with the USA. It's military uses Russian MIG aircraft.

The punish Syria arguments are deja vue. Senator Kerry may go the way of Colin Powell if Kerry finds that his claims are in fact not supported by the organizations supplying him Syrian intel. Remember, Colin Powell, he was the one that reported to the UN that USA had proof that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. No proof was ever disclosed.

This morning, I woke up with full knowledge that it was unlikely that another country would bomb a local school and interrupt my tennis game. Not so a parent waking up in Syria. America in the self appointed guise of the world morality-sheriff is threatening to punish Syria for being bad or so a sibling claims.

This posture is from a country that still has Indian reservations. It seems to me we live in a glass house and that throwing stones should be prohibited.
