Apple will disrupt the phone business-again.

Ask anyone if their phone uses ABC, LTE, CDMA, 3G, 4G or some other set of letters and numbers, you may be surprised at the response. Most people do not know. The truth is we should not need to know or even care. Phones should be network independent, just like cars are highway independent. For example, I can drive my car on any highway.

I am starting to believe that the iPhone 5 will be the phone everybody wants. It may work on any network. It will be network independent. This will drive the price of phone usage down because the networks, such as, Sprint, AT&T, Verizon and even T-mobile will have to compete on price and service. The next few months will be fascinating to watch. It will be disruptive to the benefit of consumers.
