Why Obama should refuse to run again?

It is me again and thanks for helping spread the word. We have a challenge in front of us.

Yesterday's blog was read by more than 4,000 people, and more people jump on the webtalk bandwagon every day. It is going to be a crazy ride through November 8, 2012, and I will be sending  messages each day. Bookmark the site because we have some incredibly exciting blogs coming up.  Now today's message on money, Obama and budgets.

It is my understanding that the Obama family income was approximately $400,000 in 2006 and $5,500,000 in 2009 - being president is good for book sales.

I understand that 2010 was a down year for the first family.  However, suffice it to say that the Obama family went from a net worth of not-too-much in 2006 to an estimated very-very-much higher net worth of more than $10 million in 2010. A nice jump by any stretch, and probably an increase that is significantly more than 99% of all Americans. Obama has shown he knows how to make money for his family, but not for most other Americans.

Further, Obama, will receive a substantial retirement package from his job as president, and he can relax knowing his children will have a fully paid medical plan and legacy scholarships to Harvard. What should Obama do now?

The smartest option for Obama is not run for president again. Why go to all the work? His resume is intact. He does not need business cards and his phone will ring off the hook with speaking engagements and opportunities to show other foreign dignitaries the secret paths though the maze of congress. He can play a little pick-up basketball, work on his golf game, enjoy his family, write a few more books, travel and let someone else take over his teleprompter. Why take the heat for four more years?

Certainly, Obama can not view his presidency as meaningful to improving or even sustaining the quality of the American way of life. My health insurance increases by 15% a year with no end in site. My house has lost tens of thousands of dollars in value. I am not alone. Why risk 4 more years of a deteriorating economy, China trade issues, debt problems, deficit limits and insure that historians will place the burden of responsibility for America's problems on Obama's shoulders. Four more years as president will eliminate Obama's blame game as a trump card. He does not have to resign, just announce he will not run again.

I hope that serious presidential candidates will use all means possible to make sure that Americans are well informed about Obama's poor record and genuine lack of experience to do what he has been asked to do, and they are not timid about repeating the theme. Even the best listeners and readers need repetition.
