Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of Health and Human services and former Governor of Kansas, released more details of Obamacare this morning.
Let me summarize the simplified plan.
The simplified plan has 53 options that range in price from $26 to $516 per month per individual or per family, depending on state, depending on city, depending on income level, with different levels of max annual liability and perhaps other yet to be identified variables. You should contact your insurance company for a quote. Only they understand Obamacare. And they should they likely wrote it.
I called my insurance agent. His comment. The only thing I can tell you for sure is that your insurance rates are going up 10-15%. Sebelius offered the analogy that Obamacare insurance plan rates are not much more than the monthly payments on a car. The analogy escapes me.
Last year, Obama announced, with much fanfare, a new Consumer Advocate tsar. Where is he or she now?
The republicans should give up on repealing Obama care. How can you repeal something that refuses to be pealed? The more you peal it, the more layers you discover. It is more than the proverbial moving target, it is moving with no target in sight.
I believe the republicans should start explaining the 53 options and rely on the American people to get the point. And if Americans do not get the point, then they deserve to get the point the Obamacare way.
