Democrats for Jon Huntsman..

Elpis, the spirit of hope, according to Greek mythology, was the spirit that was trapped in a jar by Zeus, and entrusted to Pandora.  I should know. I wrote a conspiracy novel on hope called Pandora’s Prisoner.  I am not the only self-appointed expert on hope, a short while ago, Obama ran a campaign on hope. Now the Democratic National Committee has a new hope.

According to my sources, the DNC hope that Jon Huntsman is the republican candidate for president. I hope so too. But I am annoyed by the democrats that talk the talk, but do not walk their own talk. As a result, I have a few suggestions.

First, the DNC should launch a democrats for Huntsman campaign. The DNC should encourage, albeit insist, that democrats donate to the Huntsman campaign. Second, the DNC should show their leadership, walk their own talk if you will, by immediately making a $250 million donation to the Huntsman campaign. In other words, it is about time the democrats and Obama commit to the hope they promised. Hopefully, this is their last chance. After all, it was not too long ago that Obama ran a campaign of hope. Obama was elected, and shortly thereafter all hope was lost. I do not wish the DNC to fail again.

A DNC Donation to the Huntsman campaign as well as an outright Jon Huntsman endorsement would demonstrate true democratic leadership.  Huntsman followers may be unwilling to accept my convoluted logic; but the fact is, I believe that the DNC is right, Huntsman should be the republican candidate for president. Further, I, for one, believe that bipartisan support for Huntsman would be a refreshing notion in a partisan political world.

It is high-time the democrats genuinely support what they believe in. If the DNC hope Huntsman should be the republican candidate for president, then we should all, regardless of party affiliation, accept their support. If the DNC fails to genuinely support Huntsman for president, then we can only conclude that the DNC and Obama have promised us hope again and failed to deliver.
Join me in my fire Obama campaign.
